I totally love anything that’s cultural, perhaps it’s because I don’t feel that we have much of it as westerners. What do you mean Hayley- the English have years of culture- drowning witches, the Easter bunny and Santa! Sure we do! But that’s not what I’m thinking about Mr Tooth Fairy!
But maybe what I really mean is that I love that the Thai ladies have a traditional dance costume and the golden temples. I love that the Indians have their spices and music and the Japanese have their kimonos and their tea ceremony. No wonder I love Belly dancing! Maybe I just love anything that’s different with bright colours and totally out of the ordinary to me. Isn’t that what life is about? To experience everything you can? After all we only have the one life. Unless of course you squiggle pictures on temples and have embalming ceremonies for the afterlife like the Ancient Egyptians did!!
One thing I love the most is the Chinese Culture, how they have Chinese New Year’s and each year is represented by an animal. Wear red or yellow and place talisman in the south east corner of X room on the eve of whatever day Hayley… I will I will, just tell me the cool story behind it, why it’s like that and I’m all ears! So as you can imagine, what could be more fun than a Chinese New year meal and the dragons Jumping up and down eating a cabbage.. Don’t forget to feed the dragon your red envelope of money Hayley and touch its tail..! Gee I really need better luck for 2013 the year of the snake.
So I jumped out of my chair and ran over to the Dragon, fed him his red and gold envelope and touched its tail twice just for good measure. So maybe reversing into the bin this morning was just an oversight -don’t you think?
Come on Dragon, show me some luck this year!! It’s my time to shine!!

love your work blondie
Finally… you’re back. Great come back story as well. Tellin it like it is. It’s a strange world in Hayley’s head, but dont worry girl, It’s safe in there, they know you well
